Welcome To ADN's Website ![]() WHAT IS ADN? (ADN) formerly known as The Maichey Foundation was established in the 1960's to offer vocational training to the people of Gambia, West Africa. It was later transferred to a group of immigrants in 1998 that widened the scope of the organisation's vision to offer its services to ethnic minority communities, (including Refugees and asylum Seekers). WHO WE HELP We are a community based organization assisting socially excluded members of the community such as ethnic minorities, Refugee and Asylum seekers and unemployed people in general We give impartial, reliable and professional training, information, advice and guidance. Our Advisers are people with experience and work professionally. OUR AIMS AND OBJECTIVES * To provide advice & resettlement assistance to refugees and immigrants. * To provide training in Information Technology in the community * To promote empowerment, self-advocacy and encourage black and ethnic minorities to contribute their skills to the benefit of the wider community. * To provide a forum for exchange of ideas, resource assistance, and coordination with other community based organizations thereby serving as an umbrella organization. * To carry out research and publications on issues of development and human rights. * To set up projects as well as collaborate with existing NGOs in the developing world whose works are geared toward the development of civil society and the reduction of poverty.
